Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Kural is a communication aid for nonspeaking individuals, built around the principle of presuming competence. This policy describes what data we collect today and how that may evolve as the product grows. We will update this page when practices change and will always ask for your consent before collecting anything new.

What Kural Collects Today

In its current early version, Kural stores all data locally on your device:

Feedback submissions are sent to a Google Form operated by V Squared Labs LLC. Submissions include your feedback text, the feedback category, and the app version. Identifying information such as your name or email address may also be included — either because you entered it manually, or, in future versions, populated automatically from your profile.

As Kural Grows

Future versions of Kural will leverage cloud storage and processing to unlock further functionality for communicators, caregivers, and the broader community. We will describe any new data practices clearly before introducing them and will ask for your consent before any data leaves your device.

What We Do Not Do

Children's Privacy

Kural is designed to be used by a caregiver or communication partner alongside a child or adult with a communication disability. When cloud features are introduced, we will comply with COPPA and applicable child privacy laws. Parental consent will be required before any data related to a minor is stored remotely.

Changes to This Policy

We will update this page when our data practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent revision.
