Privacy Policy
Kural ("the App") is developed by V Squared Labs LLC. This policy describes how the App handles your information.
What Data the App Collects
Kural collects session data that you enter during use:
- Session records — questions, answer choices, response selections, and timestamps
- Spelling records — words spelled on the letterboard, time taken, and scaffold level used
- Game records — game rounds, accuracy, and timing
- App feedback — optional text feedback you submit through the in-app feedback form
How Data is Stored
All session and spelling data is stored locally on your device only. It is not transmitted to any server, not shared with third parties, and not backed up to the cloud.
If you use the Export All Data feature (Settings → Export All Data), the app writes a JSON file to your device's local storage, which you may share manually via the iOS share sheet. We do not receive this file.
Feedback submissions are sent to a Google Form operated by V Squared Labs LLC. Submissions include your feedback text, the feedback category, and the app version. No name or email address is collected unless you choose to include it in the feedback text.
Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, or any account credentials
- We do not use advertising identifiers or tracking pixels
- We do not share any data with third-party advertisers or analytics services
- We do not access your camera, contacts, photos, or location
Microphone Access
If you use the speech input feature, the App requests microphone access solely to transcribe your spoken words into text. Audio is processed by iOS's built-in speech recognition framework (Apple's Speech framework) and is subject to Apple's privacy policy. We do not record, store, or transmit audio.
Children's Privacy
Kural is a communication aid intended for use by families. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. All data remains on your device and is controlled entirely by the device owner.
Data Deletion
To delete all app data, simply delete the Kural app from your device. All locally stored session, spelling, and game records are removed automatically by iOS when the app is uninstalled.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the App evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
